A Buck or Two
Another discount dollar store based in Canada is Buck or Two, full name Buck or Two Extreme Retail, Inc. Founded in the late 1980s, early 1990’s, the company is based in Concord Ontario and has over 300 stores across Canada, including Quebec where you’ll find them named in French “Dollar ou Deux“.
The Buck or Two has many items for a dollar, but some are normally priced two dollars. The occasional product is priced more than two dollars, as with other dollar stores, but generally you’re going to find cheaper priced items. Buck or Two has a wide variety of party decorations, school supplies, toys and household items. They also have special deals on some items and stock seasonal products as well.
Most of the Buck or Two stores are franchises and franchises are available for anyone who is interested in having one. The stores themselves look good inside and out. They don’t have that look of a garage sale in a building.
